Every install deserves a record, and every installer deserves the callback
InstallPass exists because good installers keep losing customers they've already earned.

Why we built it
The callback problem
Where the record lives today
An invoice in a drawer, a WhatsApp thread nobody scrolls back through, and somebody's memory of which company came out that year.
Where we put it instead
On the unit, where the next person to look will be standing anyway, with the installer's name on it.
A plumber fits a geyser. A solar installer commissions an inverter. A technician mounts a gate motor. The work is done well, the invoice is paid, and the customer relationship quietly ends there.
Two years later the unit needs a service, or something fails. The homeowner can't find the invoice, doesn't remember the company name, and searches online instead. The next job goes to whoever ranks first, not to the person who knows that install inside out.
Meanwhile, nobody can say when the unit was installed, whether it's still under warranty, or where the Certificate of Compliance went. New owners inherit equipment with no history at all.
InstallPass fixes that with something simple: a QR service passport stuck on the unit itself.
Scan it and you see what was installed, when, by whom, the warranty and the service history, and you can book the original installer in two taps. For installers it turns every job into a long-term customer. For homeowners it's the record they never had.
What we believe
How we build InstallPass
Installers first
The customer relationship belongs to the person who did the work. Everything we build keeps your name on the unit and the booking coming to you.
Built for site, not the office
Phone-first, fast on mobile data, and quick enough to use with one hand in a roof space.
Honest records
A passport is only useful if people trust it: what was installed, when, by whom, and what's been done since.
Privacy by default
Customer details stay private, consent is captured before anyone is contacted, and you control what each passport shows.
Good for homeowners too
Owners get a clear record of what's in their home and a straight line to the person who knows it best.
Made for South Africa
Rand pricing, WhatsApp built in, and guidance written for local trades, CoCs and POPIA.
Part of your toolkit
InstallPass keeps the install record and leaves your quoting and invoicing where they are. An API and an integration with QuoteGenio are on the way, so the record can reach the tools you already use.

Guides for installers who want repeat work
What one repeat call-out is worth: the numbers behind service work
A new install is a one-off. The services that follow it are not. Here is how to work out what a customer who keeps calling you is actually worth.
Security and CCTV installers: turning alarm and camera installs into service work
Alarm batteries go flat, recorder drives fill up and cameras drift out of focus. Here is how to make sure the call comes to you when they do.
A home equipment register: what to keep for your geyser, inverter and gate motor
Every house has a handful of units that need servicing, carry a warranty and come up when you sell. Here is what to keep for each, and where to keep it.
In their words
What installers say about it
The same story in every trade: a tag that stays on the unit is what brings the next job back to the person who fitted it, years after the invoice was paid.
Three geysers I fitted in 2023 came back to me this winter instead of going to whoever was cheapest on Google. The tag was still on the pipe and they scanned it.
The rating plate photo doing the typing is the part my guys actually use. Before this, half the job cards came back with the serial number missing.
A customer phoned about a warranty claim from two years ago. I had the certificate of compliance and the install date on screen before she finished the sentence.

Every install, on record.
